Stern Pinball, Inc. and Marvel have joined forces to introduce a thrilling new line of pinball games featuring one of Marvel’s most enigmatic and iconic characters: Venom. Available in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition (LE) models, these Venom pinball games promise to unleash havoc like never before.
Venom, an alien symbiote known for bonding with various hosts, including former Spider-Man adversary Eddie Brock, made its first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man comic series in the ’80s. With its striking appearance and unique abilities, Venom quickly became a beloved and recognizable figure in the Marvel Universe, inspiring countless products across various mediums, including action figures, apparel, and now pinball machines.
In Stern’s Venom pinball games, players will dive headfirst into the chaos of Venom’s Marvel Universe, encountering over 20 characters such as Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, and Peter Parker. As Venom, players must thwart the plans of their arch-nemesis Carnage, who seeks to awaken Knull, the God of the symbiotes. With Carnage amassing Codices to achieve his goal, Venom must battle through an army of symbiotes and the Infected to save the world from impending doom.
Selecting a host at the start of each game alters the entire gaming experience, both physically and digitally. Vertical pinball lock symbiote containment vessels, located on either side of the playfield, provide constant, frenetic action as players navigate through the dynamically changing Agro-Lab and Life Foundation pathways. Players will engage in interactive gameplay elements, such as bashing an interactive Carnage captive ball back into Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane, while also facing surprise Doppelganger attacks.
The Venom pinball game experience is enhanced by hand-drawn comic book-style artwork by renowned artist Jeremy Packer, also known as Zombie Yeti. Players will be treated to a variety of music styles throughout gameplay, including over a dozen tracks from GRAMMY Award-winning musician Mark Tremonti.
Stern’s award-winning Insider Connected™ system enables players to interact with the game and a global network of players, allowing for game progress to be saved through connectivity persistence. Additionally, players can track achievements, engage with the player community, and participate in promotions and Challenge Quests. Operator-focused tools enable location play enhancement, player loyalty building, performance analysis, remote adjustments, and game maintenance.
Limited to just 1,000 games globally, the highly collectible Limited Edition model includes exclusive features such as Venom vs. Carnage inspired full-color mirrored backglass, custom high gloss Venom-inspired “goo” powder-coated pinball armor, and a sequentially numbered plaque, among others.
